alt

Elouera has dominated the annual Bate Bay interclub championships taking out first place. This was the 88th running of the event and Elouera grasped victory on home soil.

The day started spectacularly well with our 11 person interclub relay team winning the most prestigious race. The boat section continued their great form taking out the boat-race trophy. The beach, swim and craft sections came close to winning thier sections, and thanks to the consistency across all areas, we won the day.

The Elouera spirit and teamwork was a highlight, a huge thank you to everyone who helped out on the day.

This is only the second time in our history that we have won the Bill Marshall Trophy for the overall point score. The previous occasion was 1996, which was also the year that Elouera won the State Titles and were crowned world champions at the World Titles. Congratulations to all competitors, it looks like a glorious golden season lies ahead #GOELOUERA!

Final pointscore: Elouera 15, North Cronulla 14, Wanda 11, Cronulla 9.

BREEN FAMILY ARE OARSOME PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 19 November 2013 00:53

Surf boats are a prominent cause for the BREEN family as they continue their welcome support for the ELOUERA Surf Lifesaving Club.

Not long after donating a magnificent new Surf Boat to ELOUERA in 2013, the CHARLOTTE BREEN V11, Club major sponsor Tom Breen has been kind enough to provide the boaties of Elouera with a new set of rowing oars for the new Season.

Thanks to Tom and his loving family, the Elouera Boat Section will shortly be receiving a new sweep oar and 4 new rowing oars.

Surf boat oars are always a welcome addition to any Boat Section but this new set will allow the Elouera Open Surf Boat crews to gain an advantage that comes with new oars!

"New oars always give a crew a psycological advantage" said senior sweep Mark McDonald.  "They give the rowers a feeling of strength and unity and provide a sense of state of the art equipment in a crew that is fit and ready."

Elouera SLSC thanks the Breen Family for their generous and willing support as the new racing season begins.
