2023 ‘Tradies’ Surf Awareness Clinic

The Tradies Surf Awareness Clinic has been awarded many community water safety awards since its inception in 1982, the most recent being the Police and Safety community award in 2014.

The 39th Annual Tradies Surf Awareness Clinic, organised by Elouera SLSC, for children aged 7 to 12 years, is a 5-day clinic scheduled for the week of Monday 16th January to Friday 20th January 2023, from 8:45am to 12:00pm daily.  Early bird registration is $60.00 per child until the 31st December 2022 and $70.00 from 1st January 2023.

Activities include surf swimming, nipper and body board riding, an IRB ride and beach safety & resuscitation education.

To be eligible to participate in the clinic, each child must be able to swim 50 meters unaided.  A swim test will be conducted at Caringbah Leisure Centre, Jacaranda Road, Caringbah on Friday, 13th January 2023 from 9:00am to 10:30am. Children who are 2022/23 registered nippers or can supply a 50m swim competency certificate from a registered/authorized swim school coach/instructor do not need to attend the swim test.

The 50m swim competency test is a condition of acceptance of applications to participate in the clinic.
