PATROL INFORMATION

Elouera has 12 patrols all named after our life members. Each patrol will normally be required to perform 10 rostered patrols per season; each between 4 to 5 hours.

Strong patrols are the core of all surf clubs. If you are unable to make your patrol, try to arrange for a substitute and always let your patrol captain know well in advance. Please read Elouera Surf Club’s patrol rules below.

The roster is developed to provide an equal share of Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays as well as afternoon and morning patrols. The roster for 2022 23 is listed

SKILLS MAINTENANCE (proficiencies) for 24/25 Season

Dear Members,

Please see link below to the Skills Maintenance dates for the water component of your proficiency for this season.  All patrolling members, competitors and water safety helpers must be proficient in both the online theory modules and the water component.  You must complete your proficiency (online and in water) before 31 December, 2024.

Your theory component will be run via the member's portal as an online module (covers radios, signals, resus etc) in lieu of doing this land component at the beach.

Every member needs to have their own Members Portal to receive the e-learning module (if you do not have a Member Portal yet here is the link to the "SLSA member portal"  https://members.sls.com.au/ and create a "new account")

You will need to provide proof of completing this online module prior to presenting for your "water" component.

And just a reminder, you must be a financial member and hold a current Working with Children check to perform patrol and water safety duties.

Any questions, please contact us.
